         <description>Earlier this year Joost and Paul came over from Holland to do some multi-pitch climbing with us.
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;
You can see the guys in the image above&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;getting ready to abseil off the top of the Sant Marti crag at Alcudia.
With me acting as camera man (sometimes) we filmed some of the climbing and techniques they practised over the few days whilst they were here with us. Joost has managed to produce a short clip that you can view by clicking on the link below.
http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=i8ykqfP-9Y8
This will be of interest to anybody who wants to see what the climbing is like at Sant Marti.
As always if you need any help or information about Sant Marti or anything else;
email me , john@rocksportmallorca.com
Regards, John.

         <title>Accommodation deals for Mallorca / Puerto Pollensa this Autumn &amp; Winter.</title>

         <description>If you are planning an activity holiday this autumn or winter,&amp;nbsp;Mallorca is the ideal&amp;nbsp;choice for climbing, scrambling, canyoning etc. And&amp;nbsp;to get away from the dreary British weather.
Undoubtedly the best place to stay is the popular&amp;nbsp;village of Puerto Pollensa situated on the north east tip of the island. The town has many good bars, restaurantes and&amp;nbsp;supermarkets. Cycling and watersports are also available if you get tired of the mountains.
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;A view of the town and the blue waters of the bay of Pollensa
For climbers there are several crags and bouldering sites within walking distance or 5 mins by car. For trekking or scrambling a short drive past the old town of Pollensa leads to some of the best trails and peaks in the "Tramuntana" mountains. And don't forget the "must do" Caval Bernat ridge scramble is right on the doorstep.
We have on offer several excellent town houses, villas and apartments for rental this autumn with prices to suit everyones budget.

         <title>Bouldering in Boquer Valley, Puerto Pollensa</title>

         <description>&amp;nbsp;
John pulling hard on a Boquer sloper.
Boquer Valley is a wild, boulder strewn valley just&amp;nbsp;on the outskirts of&amp;nbsp;Puerto Pollensa. Overlooked by the Caval Bernat ridge (a classic Mallorca scramble), with an easy trail leading down to an unspoilt Cala it is the perfect spot to spend some free time.
Despite&amp;nbsp;the fact there are some &amp;nbsp;classic bolted routes&amp;nbsp;and huge potential for new developement, roped climbing has forbidden in Boquer Valley for some years now. However there is hope, local climbers are now pushing the limits&amp;nbsp; here, projecting some of (arguably) the islands best and hardest boulder problems.&amp;nbsp;

Local boy "Lechuga" on&amp;nbsp;a high,&amp;nbsp;thin&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;6B/ B+&amp;nbsp;problem on boulder Nš 4.
The potential&amp;nbsp;in the valley&amp;nbsp;for new routes / problems is enormous, add to this easy access (5 minutes walk from the town center)&amp;nbsp;and you have the perfect place for the boulderer.
To give&amp;nbsp;climbers something to go on the rest of this blog consits of topos and directions to some of&amp;nbsp;"Boquers"&amp;nbsp;most accessible blocks and the problems on them.
Mail me if you want to grade them or have any more ideas.
As always, john@rocksportmallorca.com
Have fun.

         <title>Sea Kayaking Now Available In Puerto Pollensa.</title>

         <description>&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;

If you want something to do that doesn't involve mountains, give your legs a rest and try Sea Kayaking.
Our old friend Mark Manning, the local sea kayak instructor, is usually found in the Yacht club where he&amp;nbsp;is in charge of training the local &amp;nbsp;youth teams and the kayaking section in general. However this year from mid March&amp;nbsp;onwards you will be able to join him everyday&amp;nbsp; at his new site on the beach in Puerto Pollensa.
He will happily organise group training sessions and excursions as well as individual instruction up to whatever level you require.&amp;nbsp;
Unlike sailing, &amp;nbsp;sea kayaking is not so weather dependant. Flat calm seas will mean you can make good time and explore the rocky inlets and coves of the bay.&amp;nbsp;But&amp;nbsp; the bigger the waves the more exciting and challenging it can be tackling the surf.
So if you want to give your legs a rest from the mountains, go and see Mark, on the beach next to sail &amp;amp; Surf on the Puerto Pollensa to Alcudia coast road. If you have any questions you can contact him by;
Phone 00 34 696151340,&amp;nbsp;

Happy paddling.
